This project for the Nakhorn Thai Steel Group was built in two phases for which we undertook the structural design as well as the project management and site supervision.
Phase I included the design and construction of the bar and wire rod mill, laboratory and melt shop accommodating overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 100 tonnes.
Phase II required the extension of the main facilities of the bar and wire rod mill and the melt shop. The insitu-concrete floor was designed for a live load of up to 5 tonnes/m2 in particular areas and the steel frame structure supported roof trusses of a clear span of 32m.
