Country Marina City was planned as a high quality residential development on a 24 hectare (150 rai) site comprising 180 townhouses, 240 condominium units in 4 towers, a 300-room luxury hotel, a 75-unit apartment hotel and approximately 38,000m2 of offices, commercial floor space and public facilities. Central to the development was the formation of a marina, accessing the Bangpakong River by a navigable lock. The lake and townhouses have berth spaces designed to accommodate power yachts up to 11 metres in length. A 50-berth marina and commercial boat wharves were planned on the river itself. SMC was responsible for designing the bulk earthworks, roads, drainage system, water supply, sewerage system, waste collection system, telecommunication and power supply distribution and lake water control system. SMC also undertook the design of all marine structures including river walls, floating pontoons, boat entrance lock system and structure and was responsible for providing advice on necessary support facilities to be included in the development.
