Tibar Bay New Container Terminal Project
East Timor
Tibar Bay has been selected as the site for a new greenfield container port to meet the growing demand for containers and break-bulk traffic in the country. The consortium led by BOLLORE / SDV was awarded a Design, Finance, Build, Operate, and Transfer contract (DFBOT) for the project, which includes a 30-year concession. The project is planned in two phases, with Phase 1 comprising a two-berth quay wall, dredging, reclamation, and a 27-hectare container terminal.

ARTELIA, in partnership with Worley Parsons, was responsible for detailed design studies, hydrodynamic modeling, navigation simulations, port layout confirmation, FEED design of container yard and infrastructure, and preparation of EPC tender specifications for the container yard.
